Almanustra participated in enlivening the CTI – CFF Anniversary on June 11 2024 which took place at the CTI – CFF Manado Office. This activity was organized by holding an exhibition.
CTI-CFF began as an Indonesian initiative as a follow-up to President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s idea which was conveyed on the sidelines of the 8th Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in Brazil in 2006. This is based on the fact that Indonesian waters and the surrounding area is a habitat for the highest level of coral diversity, there are at least more than 500 types of coral.
CTI-CFF was officially declared on May 15, 2009 through the Coral Triangle Initiative Leaders’ Declaration on Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security. Members of the CTI-CFF consist of the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste (known as CT-6). CT-6 takes turns as Chair of CTI-CFF; Timor Leste is now serving as Chair for the 2023 period, with Indonesia as Deputy Chair who will become Chair in 2024.
